My Friends, Tigger, and Pooh Review Script - Revised

Hi everyone, I am Sarah Wen and I will be your host for today. I am sure many of you are concerned what your kids are watching every day on that fifty inch T.V. After I watched a few episodes of Disney’s My Friends, Tigger, and Pooh, I find this show quite interesting. In this show was a human girl named Darby who seems to be leading her friends such as Tigger and Pooh through solving cases. What I like about this show is that Darby talks directly to the viewers as to give them a sense of involvement since they want the viewers to join them through the process of solving day-to-day problems. This show is somewhat similar to other shows like Dora the Explorer where they want the viewers to be interacting with the characters inside the show. In this show, the Super Sleuths such Darby, Tigger, Pooh, and their dog, Buster, would help solve problems when their friends or neighbors called for help and they would try many different methods before using the best solution. For example, in one of the episodes I saw, Beaver believed the Super Sleuth team should spend less time thinking and instead spend more time solving the problem. However, what Beaver didn't realized was that rushing through the problem solving process is not solving the problem directly or as efficient as finding the cause of the problem and then look for the best solution. Eventually, the Super Sleuths work together as a team to show Beaver that they should think before they act or else it may worsen the situation. After all, the Super Sleuths team taught me a lesson of thinking through the problem before coming up with the solution. What this show stresses is the teamwork involved in finding the best solution. They encourage diversity when Darby works with different types of animals such as Tigger, Pooh, Piglet, Beaver, Kangaroo, elephant, and many others. The special part that I liked and I think many kids will like is when it was time to think, they have a small part of sing along where they want viewers to sing along with them. The show wants the viewers to think, think, think, when there’s a problem. Hopefully, many kids would remember this when they face an every day-to-day problem and they needed to find the solution. After I watched this show, I bet many kids would love it because of the colorful characters they have in the show and the special interaction of the characters directly speaking to them. I will recommend preschoolers and their parents to watch this show together. Thank you for joining me today.
